About Us
St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Bray, is a small but committed congregation with a rich history and a heart for mission. Located just off Bray Main Street, our modern hall serves as a vibrant community hub, hosting various youth, community, and church groups. We are seeking to expand our outreach and engagement by appointing a Community & Outreach Worker to help us develop a new form of church alongside our existing worship service.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for mission, community engagement, and discipleship. The Community & Outreach Worker will play a key role in helping us reach new people, build relationships within the wider community, and develop new ways of gathering for worship and faith exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & lead outreach initiatives
- Build relationships with families, individuals, and groups who already use our church facilities.
- Strengthen our connections with community organisations.
- Support and equip volunteers for outreach and mission activities.
- Explore new worship opportunities alongside our traditional Sunday service.
- Provide regular updates and prayer points to the congregation to foster support and engagement
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
✔ Have a deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and a passion for sharing the gospel
✔ Be outgoing, approachable, and community-focused.
✔ Have experience in mission, outreach, or church planting with relevant third-level qualifications.
✔ Be a self-starter, able to develop initiatives and build teams.
✔ Have excellent communication and relational skills, with the ability to engage people of all ages and backgrounds.
✔ Be comfortable working within the Presbyterian Church in Ireland framework and under the supervision of the minister.
Terms & Application
Hours & Salary: 37.5 hours per week will include evenings and weekends; €41,017 per annum.
Contract Duration: Initial 3-year fixed-term contract
Location: Based in Bray, Co. Wicklow, with flexibility for community-based work.
